What happens when an extraordinary event turns into a fight for survival?
Title: Life as We Knew It Author: Susan Beth Pfeffer Page Number: 337 Date of Publishing: October 1, 2006
I chose Life as We Knew It for this book review because it is a very interesting book and in my opinion, if it had been more widely read it would have been very popular.
Life as We Knew It is the first book in the Last Survivors series, followed by the Dead and The Gone. This book follows Miranda, a teenager who's parents are divorced and is not really taking much interest in this exciting new event which is supposedly going to happen. The event is that an asteroid is going to hit the moon. The catch however is that no one knows what is going to happen when this asteroid strikes the moon. When the asteroid strikes, no one is prepared for startling consequences. Follow Miranda and her family as they try to survive there new surroundings and as they face struggles from both the outside and the inside.
I would rate this book 4 out of 5 stars. I give it this rating because in my opinion some spots of the writing are a little bit dull, but other than that it is a pretty good book.

I am considering reading this book--you said there were some dull spots...where they plot related, character related, or? Thanks!
